Voice-Clone Consent Agreement

Kinogaze allows creators to record or upload voice samples to generate custom synthetic voice clones for their explainer videos. Because voice audio constitutes sensitive, biometric-like personal information, we require explicit, informed consent before any voice profile can be created, stored, or processed.

1. Formal Consent Declaration

The following text constitutes the canonical, human-readable consent agreement presented to each user prior to enrolling a voice profile. In our software systems and API endpoints, this agreement is tracked under version voice-consent-v1:

I confirm that I am the individual whose voice is contained in this audio recording, or I have express written permission and legal authority from that individual to create and use this voice clone. I grant Kinogaze permission to store this audio sample in Kinogaze-controlled cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and to process it solely for generating synthesized narration for my Kinogaze films. I understand and agree that temporary vendor clones may be created at third-party speech synthesis providers (such as ElevenLabs or self-hosted CosyVoice compute) strictly on a per-film rendering basis and deleted immediately upon render completion. Kinogaze will never sell, rent, or distribute my voice sample or voice clone, and will never use it to train general foundation AI models. I may withdraw my consent and delete my voice profile at any time, which permanently deletes my stored audio sample from Kinogaze storage and purges any active vendor clones. I agree not to use voice cloning for impersonation, deceptive or fraudulent purposes, harassment, defamation, or any illegal or harmful activities.

2. Key Legal Commitments

1. Identity & Authority

You verify that you are cloning your own voice or possess unambiguous written authorization from the individual whose voice is recorded.

2. Limited Purpose

Your voice sample is used exclusively to synthesize narration for explainer films generated under your Kinogaze account.

3. Controlled Storage

Audio samples are securely stored in our own Cloudflare R2 bucket. We retain direct technical custody rather than locking your data inside vendor silos.

4. Ephemeral Vendor Processing

When rendering a film, a temporary instant clone is spawned at our synthesis engine (ElevenLabs or self-hosted CosyVoice) and destroyed immediately when the job finishes.

5. Zero Model Training

We never sell, rent, or commercialize your voice. We will never use your voice recordings to train or fine-tune public foundation AI models.

6. Complete Right of Revocation

You can revoke consent and delete your voice profile at any time from your account, permanently purging your audio file from R2 and killing any live vendor slots.

3. Prohibited Uses

The Kinogaze voice synthesis system may not be used under any circumstances for:

Violations of these prohibitions result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of subscription access, and potential reporting to law enforcement authorities.

4. Enrollment Guidelines

At launch, custom voice cloning is optimized for English speech. Voice enrollment recordings must be between thirty (30) and sixty (60) seconds of clear speech to accurately calculate your speaking speed (words per second) and achieve faithful vocal synthesis.
